Release notes.

What changed, what was fixed, and what was never going to change.

dogOS 27

The biggest release since the dog.

Q3 2027 · ships with the new dog

New in this release:

  • Bipedal architecture on dog SE. Two legs. More than two hundred skeletal components removed. The components are not missed. We have checked.
  • The bark. One per day on dog SE. The time is non-configurable. We know you will ask. We have already answered.
  • Stationary Platform on dog SE. The platform does not move. The platform is not broken. The platform is a platform.
  • Single-Meal Metabolism on dog SE. Annual food cost ≈£190. The savings are lifetime. The lifetime is the dog’s.
  • Quiet Mode support on dog Pro, via Companion+. Silence is now available as a monthly subscription.
  • Multi-Dog Mesh across all models, via DogConnect. The mesh compounds.

Known issues:

  • The dog SE walks in a very wide circle for 24–48 hours following Additional Leg installation. This is calibration. The circle is expected. The circle is in the guide.
  • The dog Pro may classify the hoover as an intruder of a different species. The classification is the dog’s. We have not overridden it.
  • The dog will roll over in one direction only. The direction is the dog’s. This is not a bug. We have logged it as a feature. The log is in the filing cabinet. The filing cabinet is full.

dogOS 26.4

Stability.

20 April 2026

  • Fixed an issue where the dog would sit. The dog had not been asked to sit. The sitting was unsolicited. The dog now sits when it has decided to sit. This is indistinguishable from the previous behaviour. The issue is closed. The issue was never open. We have archived the issue. The archive is the filing cabinet. The filing cabinet is full.
  • Removed the second direction from the roll-over documentation. The dog rolls over in one direction only. The documentation now reflects this. The dog has not changed. The documentation has changed. This is the correct order of operations.
  • Reduced standby power consumption. Standby uses no power. The reduction is 0%. The dog is very efficient. We are proud of the dog.

dogOS 26.3

Quiet Mode.

14 April 2026

  • Added Quiet Mode for dog Pro, via Companion+. The only silence we sell.
  • Added the Companion Density toolkit: a floor plan calculator and a structural load assessment form. The toolkit does not remove the sofa. The toolkit measures the room around the sofa.

dogOS 26.2

Performance.

9 March 2026

  • Improved the bark on dog SE. The bark is now louder. The volume was not specified. The specification did not include volume. The specification is silent on volume. We have not changed the specification.
  • Improved meal scheduling across all models. The dog now eats at the times the dog has always eaten at. The schedule has not changed. The scheduling has improved. We have explained this in the notes. The notes are these notes.

dogOS 26.1

Connectivity.

2 February 2026

  • DogConnect integration. Network IDs are broadcast continuously. Connections form autonomously. The network has never lost a dog. The network does not lose dogs.
